Belize Island Life

Bobby Jack and Cindy Silvis both from Austin Texas just
landed on Belize soil. These two are frequent visitors
of Belize. They normal fly From Austin to Belize,
but when they heard about some new airfares they booked
a flight and headed down.
VivaAreobus has started flying Austin, Texas to Cancun.
Bobby and Cindy made their reservations and paid US$150.00
each to fly. They do advertise cheaper fares depending on
availability. Once they made it to Cancun they had several
options to travel on to Belize. They contacted George
Moralez Travel Service out of Corozal, Belize and these
were their options. 

From Cancun to Corozal airstrip they offer

1. They offer their services to pick you up at the airport
in Cancun. They would need the exact information on what
time you would be arriving, flight number, flight name and
complete names of all traveling and their driver will be
waiting for you at the airport in Cancun to transfer you
all the way through the borders to Corozal airstrip.
It is a 4 hours drive with them and it is in a private
comfortable van normally they do 2 stops one is for you
to buy snacks for the way and the other is for you
to use the rest rooms and their fare would only be
$400US one-way but if you wanted
round trip they could give you a small discount.
They can arrange your flights to anywhere in Belize
depending on time you would be arriving.
This is great if you have a group.

Option 2: 

2.Cancun to Chetumal once you arrive at the airport in
Cancun you can take a shuttle at the airport there
to Playa del Carmen.

Now the bus stops at the bus station in Playa del
Carmen and there you can check the bus schedules
for a bus to Chetumal,
all the buses are express buses it is a 6 hours bus
ride to Chetumal once you have decided the time you
will be leaving from Play del Carmen to Chetumal
you can give them a call to their office numbers below
and they will calculate the time you will be arriving
at the bus station in Chetumal.
Now once you have arrive at the Chetumal bus station
you can take a

Taxi to McDonalds (note that there is only one
McDonalds in Chetumal and it is at the Plaza Las
Americas) their driver will be waiting for you there to
transfer you through the borders to Corozal airstrip
for you to take a flight to your destination in Belize
and their fare would only be $35US one way for two people
and from there they can arrange your flights from
Corozal to anywhere in Belize they are agents.  

NOTE: that if you chose either option you would
have to do a 50% deposit down and it can be done by
credit card.

Bobby and Cindy choose option number 2. 

They took a shuttle from the Cancun Airport to
Playa del Carmen bus station and paid US$25 each person. 

From there they took the express bus from Playa del Carmen
to Chetumal and that was US$25 each person. 

They were then picked up my George Moralez Travel
Service and driven to the boarder were George Moralez
Travel Service made getting threw customs a breeze.
The transfer cost them US$35 for both. 

They did not make it in time to make a flight to
San Pedro so they found a nice hotel for US$45.00
for the night, which George Moralez Travel Service
recommended. 

So for both of them they paid US$180.00
from Cancun to the Corozal airport. 

This is quite a savings from what I paid last year
to fly from Belize to Austin.
