Details of Lobsterfest 2009
Lobsterfest 2009 will begin on Sunday June 14th -Saturday June 20th .
Kicking off the big event will be the “Meet & Greet” Cocktail Party at El Divino Restaurant (located a
t Banana Beach Resort) Sunday June 14th.
The grand finale will be the popular ‘Lobsterfest Town Block Party’ Saturday June 20th.

Melody, Just another day in the park
Coral Ed-Ventures an educational program that was started about 9 years age
just finished their research last week, diving and snorkeling in and out of the Hol Chan Marine Reserve to count fish populations and grazers on and near the reef. Professors, Al Curran and Paulette Peckol from Smith College, have been coming to San Pedro since as early as 1998

The program is basically student run, they spend two weeks advertising in the schools for the camp, a week doing research, and then the final three weeks are devoted to Coral Ed-Ventures camp. The advanced camp runs this week, Monday to Friday from 4-6 pm in the Lion’s Den.
Their theme this year is “The International Year of the Reef” and they are going to have the students make a magazine.
