ambergris caye real estate update

COULD YOU LIVE HERE ?
COULD YOU LIVE HERE?
Been extremely busy the past few months. The Recovering Real Estate market here on the island has made nice strides in 2010.

TAKE IT EASY !
TAKE IT EASY !
What has been driving our island market has been the great deal and negotiating abilities of buyers, sellers and the agents that bring them together. We have clients buying property for as little as 10 % down at 10% with a term of up to 5-8 yrs. People who have not been able to get in the market are now making their move.

THIS COULD BE YOUR FRONT YARD
THIS COULD BE YOUR FRONT YARD
Telecommuters (on-line workers) and International workers (sales people, oil rig workers, International contractors) are now calling Belize their home. The friendly people and the turquoise waters are not the only reasons they are moving to Belize. Another big reason seems to be TAXES! We have some clients that live in some states that are squeezing them for more money$ in new and higher taxes. The Fed Government threatening to raise capital gains, the constantly increasing cost of medications and health care, the dwindling economy, unemployment on the rise are all reasons that are forcing Americans to rethink where they want to live the rest of their lives. This will continue to stimulate our local economy that has needed a shot in the arm because of tourism being down.

ROOM WITH A VIEW
ROOM WITH A VIEW
The reasons why people are taking less vacations are the same reasons there are more and more people exploring living abroad in other English speaking countries.

RAT RACE ? NO THANK YOU. KAYAK RACE FINISH LINE !
RAT RACE ? NO THANK YOU. KAYAK RACE FINISH LINE !
The people we speak to are amazed how simple and fun it can be to relocate. The people that can’t make the move now are locking themselves in for the future by taking advantage of the loans being offered by the sellers. They are buying their piece of paradise with a land purchase, commercial property, a condominium or whatever fits their dreams . We have been watching the 2 and 3 bedroom condo inventory on the MLS thin out over the past 4 months. This is guaranteed to stimulate the market for houses.

ACFFC Sponsored Tournaments

Big news for the Tres Pescado Slam Tournament and Belize: The TPST event has been approved as an IGFA Inshore World Championship Qualifier Event. This means anglers can compete in the TPST and the winner can qualify for an invitation to the World Championships. For Belize this brings prestige and prominence to this fly fishing event and hopefully more anglers. To learn about the IGFA qualifier go to wwww.tres-pescado-tournament.org/igfa_event.php. Beauties in Bikinis and Baubles was the theme of the night. Lemon Crush Belize and Moondancer put on a fabulous event. It was a celebration of the ladies of Costa Maya as they put on a fashion show to help support the launch of San Pedro’s Sultry Sweet Lemon Crush Belize
2009 Luxury Bikini Collection.
(in 2009, 3 years after moving to Belize from “PHL”, Lara Lennon decided it was time. All the elements lined themselves up, and Lara saw the bag of lemons she’d been using to sustain herself had taken root. With both feet firmly planted in her new life and one hand still in her grandmothers jewelry box,
bore some super sophisticated, sexy suits.)
http://www.lemoncrushbelize.com/

It was an amazing night, and we are so proud of Lara. She was definitely in her element.
Lara Lennon is redefining the swimsuit with her one-of-a-kind creations from her line
. Each piece of Art That You Wear is a fabulous hybrid of the new and the old, defining RIGHT NOW. Start with supremely delicious suits, add in hand selected vintage jewelry, fold in hand made Belizean hardwood boxes for packaging, and you have the recipe for one of the best products you can get out of a bag of lemons;
. Written by Lara

The first round of swim suits came out and I would have to say they looked pretty good.

Thanks to Monndancer for letting Lara host the event at the shop!

Lara, sporting one of her fine bathing suits.

Thanks to everyone one that pitched in to help

I think the men were pretty happy. (Cory FOCUS )

I asked Peter and Paul what they thought, but they were pretty speechless (Paul’s glasses were getting fogged up)

The crowd waiting for the 2nd round.

2nd round of the swim suit launch party

This is a FIRST, both Jules and Tim speechless . Great job Lara. Hope she can do that again (sure the guys wouldn’t mind).

Chris helped out serving drinks to the crowd ( not sure if that was because of the view).

3rd and final round, (Tim get out of the way,now he wants to p/up photography).

Cory striking up stimulating conversation
Tom, Shar (in the background), and Zac. , (think Tom could use a smoke after that)
Jules and Alana

I didn’t know Tanya was a blond.
Next, Tim window shopping !

I wonder if They‘re real……….

Window shopping was a crowd stopper.

Now you know why Tim lives in the Caribbean

Appetizers were catered by Hummingbird Cafe (Kelsey).
Thanks for a wonderful night!
